WSOP Super Circuit Online Series

WSOP Super Circuit 2020

Running May 3-31, 2020, the inaugural World Series of Poker (WSOP) Super Circuit Online at GGPoker offered up 18 WSOP Circuit gold rings and boasted $100 million in guarantees.

The series hosted a combined 126,730 entrants and awarded $47,058,597 in prize money in official gold ring events. That included 11 six-figure first-place prizes and a pair of seven-figure paydays.

Among those to capture gold rings and six-figure scores were “TheMadQueen” (Event #1: COVID Charity $1M GTD for $269,267), “BlaireauEnColere” (Event #5: BIG $500 $2M GTD for $330,411), “ChilaxChuck” (Event #10: PLO High Roller Championship for $442,041), and “WhiteChick” (Event #13: COLOSSUS $2M GTD for $499,339).

One of the premier tournaments on the schedule was the $25,000 buy-in Event #8: High Roller Championship $10M GTD, which cruised by its guarantee as 505 runners created a $12,372,500 prize pool. Well-known poker pro Patrick “Babu$hka” Leonard nearly took down the tournament, but ultimately finished as runner-up to Costa Rica’s “800-522-4700”, who banked $2,198,292, the largest prize awarded during the series.

The $1,000 buy-in Event #17: Main Event $5M GTD nearly doubled its guarantee as 9,779 entrants generated a $9,290,050 prize pool. Germany’s “schimmelgodx” navigated the massive field, including 1,494 players returning for Day 2, to claim the gold ring and a top prize of $1,271,218.

Meanwhile, “rubbherducky” topped a 2,614-entry field to win the $1,000 buy-in Event #16: PLO Main Event $1M GTD for $362,619.
