WSOP Super Circuit Online Series Update – Ring Events #15, #16, #17 & #18
WSOPC final day, a new WSOPC ME Champ & 3 more gold ring winners
With four new Gold Ring winners crowned, including a new Main Event Champ, the bumper WSOP Super Circuit Online Series closed with a bang last night, as a little over 20,000 hungry poker players battled it out over the virtual WSOP felt for a share in the $13,900,000 in prize pools and one of four WSOPC Gold Rings.
In the $5M GTD Main Event, Germany’s Lars ‘schimmelgodx‘ Kamphues emerged victorious, taking home a cool $1,271,218 share of the gargantuan $9.2M prize pool for his efforts, not to mention a serious a piece of WSOP bling and a place in the poker history books!
WSOPC Ring Event #17: MAIN EVENT $5M GTD
The one everybody had their eye on, Event #17: Main Event, got underway at 3pm ET, with the 1,494 players having made it through from Day 1 Phases.
It was an all-action affair right from the get-go, as players jostled for chips and position, hoping to make it to the money bubble at 1,196th place. It took a little over an hour for the money bubble to be burst, and within 4 hours we were down to one hundred players left in the hunt for the title.
In the final hand of the main event, Biereux had schimmelgodx dominated with QJ versus J4, but a cruel J 4 6 flop, and no help from the turn or river for Biereux, meant that Lars ‘schimmelgodx’ Kamphues of Germany was our new WSOP Super Circuit Online Main Event champion – well played and Good Game!

WSOPC Ring Event #16: PLO MAIN EVENT $1M GTD
In the $1,000 buy-in PLO Main Event the day belonged ‘rubbherducky‘, who entered the final table as one of the chip leaders and used his stack to devastating effect to run over his opponents.
rubbherducky entered heads-up play with a commanding ten-to-one chip-lead against Love2Spew, and and it didn’t take long for rubbherducky to dispatch his opponent and claim the Gold Ring and $362,000 – Good Game!

WSOPC Ring Event #15: Monster Stack $500K GTD
A huge 5,216 players entered the final Monster Stack of the series, generating a prize pool just shy of $1,000,000.
After a three-way deal, waransan defeated DameDolla heads-up to claim the Gold Ring and become our 15th WSOPC chamion of the series, after his middle pair on the flop held up against his opponent’s nut flush draw – Good Game!

WSOPC Ring Event #18: The Closer $500K GTD
In the final ring event of the 2020 WSOP Super Circuit Online Series, a whopping 2,405 players paid the $500 buy-in, generating a massive $1,142,375 prize pool – more than doubling its $500,000 guaranteed prize pool!
Played in Turbo format, it took a little over seven hours for us find our final ring winner Goblue, who bested Pokerguy21 heads-up to claim the title of WSOPC Ring Event #18: The Closer Champion and $168,276 first-place prize.

WSOP Super Circuit Online Series awards over $134 MILLION!
GGPoker today reveals details of the recently completed WSOP Super Circuit Series, hosted in partnership with World Series of Poker.
The online poker tournament series ran from May 3 through 31 and consisted of over 500 individual events. Eighteen WSOPC Ring Events headlined the series, each of which awarded a coveted WSOPC Gold Ring to the winning player.
The WSOP Super Circuit Series exceeded operator expectations; the following statistics attest to its popularity:
- Number of Series Events: 516
- Total Series Guarantee: $102,365,000
- Total Series Prizes Awarded: $134,706,274
- Single Biggest Event Prize Pool: $12,372,500 (WSOPC Ring Event #8: HR Championship $10M GTD)
- Total Number of Entries: 485,851
- Largest Number of Entries in a Single Event: 29,357 (WSOPC Ring Event #9: Mini Main Event)
- Amount Raised for Charity: $177,045 (WSOPC Ring Event #1: COVID-19 Charity Event)
The World Series of Poker is the most recognizable brand name in the poker world, dating from 1970, and its WSOP Circuit tournaments were first held in 2005.
GGPoker’s hosting of the WSOP Super Circuit Series ensured that hundreds of thousands of players dotted throughout the world had an opportunity to play in WSOPC Ring Events, satellites and supporting events; for many this was their first opportunity to experience the thrill of a WSOP tournament.
Much of the headline WSOPC Ring Event action was streamed live on Twitch via GGPoker.TV, which proved a massive hit with poker enthusiasts. This fun, edgy and comedic podcast-style show was hosted by Joe Stapleton and had GGPoker ambassadors such as Daniel ‘DNegs’ Negreanu, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Felipe ‘Mojave’ Ramos and Fedor ‘CrownUpGuy’ Holz drop in to talk viewers through the action. Other well-known poker pros such as Maria Ho, David Williams, Matt Berkey, Jesse Sylvia, Marle Cordeiro and more also featured on GGPoker.TV during the series. WSOP Expands Partnership with GGPoker, Allowing International Players their First-Ever Chance to Pursue WSOP Bracelets from Home
With the flagship World Series of Poker (WSOP) postponed in Las Vegas due to the public health emergency involving COVID-19, today organizers announced “World Series of Poker Online,” an online poker festival spanning two months. Set to be one of the largest online tournament series of all time, “WSOP Online” will offer players massive prize pools, unprecedented media coverage for online events, and the chance to win gold bracelet glory across two distinct gaming platforms, WSOP.com and GGPoker.
Kicking off Wednesday, July 1, the “WSOP Online” tournament’s North American network will schedule one bracelet event a day, throughout the month of July. WSOP.com allows play from customers geo-located in Nevada and New Jersey.
On Sunday, July 19, official “WSOP Online” bracelet tournaments will commence on the GGPoker Network, one of the biggest and fastest-growing online poker providers in the world. The international series will run through September 6 and mark the first time that players outside the U.S. have been able to compete for an official WSOP bracelet online.
GGPoker plans to unveil its bracelet schedule on a rolling basis and will have a broad range of buy-ins and game formats. GGPoker boasts next-generation smart software and a multitude of innovative features, which will be on display during the online series.
WSOP.com will celebrate the tournament with a number of special promotions and incentives. Satellites to WSOP Bracelet events start as low as $1. As is customary with WSOP events, the “WSOP Online” tournament will provide extensive media coverage. Poker Central will also schedule virtual “bracelet ceremonies” and interviews with each winner.

GGPoker just wrapped up a highly successful WSOP Online Circuit Event, which saw a total series prize pool of $134,706, 274 easily smashing the advertised $100,000,000 in guarantees. In total, the WSOP series saw a staggering 485,851 entries with highlights including a Main Event of nearly 10,000 entrants with $1.2M for the winner and a scorching $25k “high roller” with 505 entries creating GGPoker’s largest prize pool to date of $12.3M. Like the record setting WSOP Online Circuit, GGPoker’s online bracelet event schedule will similarly have buy-in levels and formats that cater to a wide range of players.
Consistent with GGPoker’s terms of service, play on the platform is prohibited from the United States. Any player discovered to be attempting to play from inside the US border will be deemed ineligible and prize money subject to forfeiture.

GGPoker Announces WSOP Online Series Schedule – $25M GTD Main Event Largest in Online Poker History
54 total bracelets up for grabs in once-in-a-lifetime tournament series
GGPoker today released further details on its WSOP Online Series, with events starting from July 19 through September 6. In total, 54 World Series of Poker bracelets will be won.
The WSOP Online Series is headlined by the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event, which boasts a record-breaking $25 million prize pool guaranteed, the biggest in the history of online poker. This massive tournament will feature multiple Day 1s, similar to its live predecessor, running from August 16, with Day 2 kicking off on August 30.
Other highlights include:
